Brenda's Burgers

Since moving to MI a year ago I've seen too many menu's claiming to have the "voted best burger in Michigan". Lies. I've tried dozens across the Upper and Lower peninsula and they all fall short of whatever "Award" they got. Unless the award was: Most Mediocre burger in Michigan. I obviously haven't tried them all so I can't say with 100% certainty that Brenda's is the best in Michigan but I can say that of the dozens of burgers I've tried nothing compares. The burgers are fresh and cooked on the spot. The condiments aren't over powering. Even the tomato tastes freshly sliced. There are a ton of options for specialty burgers. The bun was soft but toasted. It was the perfect cheeseburger. It's cash or check only but there is an ATM onsite. If you are a cheeseburger person, do not miss this place.

One of the best burgers we've ever had. Brenda makes the buns and burgers and the meat is fresh ground daily. They have Turkey and veggie burger options as well. We had onion rings and fries and both were perfect. Toppings are fresh and don't overpower the burger. Four of us ate very well for 60, which was reasonable given the quality. They only take cash or check, but there's an ATM on-site. We are spending 3 days in the area and are considering a return to Brenda before we leave. Quick and friendly service. Highly recommend.

Food was amazing. Staff was so friendly. We were just driving through town and decided to stop, it was a great choice. Well worth heading there for lunch.

Wow! It's a hole in the wall, but the food was extraordinary. Handmade burgers from local farms, homemade buns. Highly recommended!!!

Fun fun fun! Unpretentious but amusing interior, burgers cooked fresh while you wait and to your specifications. The staff is amiable and helpful, next time I'm in Scottville first place you'll find me is at Brenda's burgers. Yum and thank you!

While visiting my parents for Thanksgiving my mom said we couldn’t go home without trying Brenda’s burgers and I’m so glad we listened to her! I couldn’t find a single burger that I could choose so I asked if I could create a custom burger with multiple elements of ones that sounded good and she immediately said of coarse! The burger was amazing and you couldn’t ask for better service! Highly recommend eating here if you are in the Ludington area!!!

Holy smokes. I had the "Dante" - one of the best burgers I've ever had. It was made fresh and extremely fast. The meat was juicy and tasty. It actually medium how I asked. My son's burger was excellent as well. All the options look amazing. We had the 1/2 pound option and each had a full order of fries. We had been fasting for 24 hours (Lent) so we were ready. This is a local burger join, period. If you like handmade burgers from fresh ingredients with tastes that will blow your minds, go here. The buns are fresh and just the right texture - soft enough to squeeze and fit the whole burger in your mouth but not so much that all the liquid soaks through. The fries are good but the burger is the main show. If I went again, I'd do the 1/2 pound burger with the half order of fries. If you are a hungry dude, though, get the full order of fries for each person. If you are anywhere near this place, make the trip!
